About us

 

The Ironing Service offers pick up and delivery in the Western suburbs of Brisbane. Established in 1989, the Ironing Service is a family owned and operated business.

 

We provide quality service at a competitive price. There is no minimum or maximum number of items for pick up. Our ironers use a non fragrant starch when ironing, but you can include your own if you wish. We offer weekly, fortnightly and casual services.

Pick up and Delivery

 

Ironing is picked up daily between 7 a.m. and 11a.m. from the clients front door or a prearranged location. If there is a security gate then the gate needs to be opened for pick up and delivery or the key or code given to our trusted drivers. Please provide hangers and any instructions in the basket.

 

Delivery of the ironing is between 12 noon and 5pm the following day (Friday pickups are delivered Monday). If the customer is not home on delivery and if there is a lack of suitable hanging arrangement our drivers may have to leave the ironed clothes hanging on doors. This makes it hard to keep the clothes in the best order. To avoid this situation a portable rack to hang the clothes on is the best option. If you don't have a rack, then you can either get one from most large stores (Big W, Target, K-Mart)

 

Payment for the service can occur in a number of ways. Each bill has our BSB and account details for direct deposit, and we also take cash or cheques. (No credit cards sorry)

Service

 

The Ironing Service provides a friendly, professional service. If there are any requests with the ironing then please let us know (eg Folded T-shirts, double cuffs ironed flat, pants hung by feet or waist). We want the ironing to return the way you want it for complete satisfaction.

 

All work completed is to your satisfaction and in the event that the service is not what is expected and promised, then you will be refunded and the ironing completed again free of charge.

Terms and Conditions of Service.

1. All accounts are to be settled in full, within 7 days of delivery.

2. All prices are subject to change, and severely crushed clothing will be charged at a higher rate.

3. Pickups occur from 7 am daily, please ensure ironing is ready for collection at this time, otherwise you may miss us.

4. Please notify us of any change to your service before 7am on the day of collection, or we reserve the right to charge a non-cancellation fee of $10 to cover our costs.

5. We will not guarantee or refund ironing of clothing that has been put through a dryer.

6. If coat hangers are not provided with the ironing, t-shirts and shorts will be folded and hangers we provide will be charged at 50c each.

7. If you wish to discuss your ironing or feel something is missing, please contact us within 24hrs of delivery.
